At McLean Animal Hospital, we are committed to providing timely, attentive medical care to every patient. To properly allocate doctor time, medical staff, and hospital resources, deposits are required for certain appointments and procedures.
Deposit Policy
Deposits are required for:
- New client appointments
- Select scheduled appointments
- International Health Certificates
- Grooming services
- Surgical and dental procedures
- Specialty surgical services
Deposits are applied toward the cost of services at the time of your appointment.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We understand that schedules change. However, because we reserve dedicated time and staffing for your pet, we require advance notice for cancellations.
Required Notice:
- 24 hours notice for standard appointments and new client visits
- 48 hours notice for surgeries, dental procedures, grooming appointments, and international health certificates
Appointments canceled without the required notice may result in forfeiture of the deposit.
Missed Appointment Policy
Failure to provide proper notice or failure to appear for a scheduled appointment may result in:
- Loss of deposit
- A missed appointment fee applied to the account
- The missed appointment fee may be charged in the amount of the scheduled exam fee
- Requirement of a deposit for all future appointments
These policies allow us to remain respectful of our medical team’s time while continuing to provide access to care for all patients.
