Dr. Furman is a Northern Virginia native who grew up in Great Falls, Virginia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Poultry Science from Virginia Tech in 2020, and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2026. She is excited to return to the community she grew up in and to join the team at Mclean Animal Hospital.
Dr. Furman’s professional interests include small animal geriatric medicine, physical therapy and rehabilitation, dermatology, preventative care, and strengthening the human-animal bond. She is proud to be Fear Free Certified and is committed to creating a low-stress, positive experience for both patients and their owners.
In her free time, she enjoys caring for her aquariums, hiking, snowboarding and skiing, playing pickleball, golfing, reading history books, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering in the community.
